How Treasury can support corporate business development via Structured Trade Finance solutions
The success of the Dutch economy is very dependent on the export of goods. A very important part of that export comprises capital goods. When exporting to countries with a higher exposure to political risk – as would be the case for most emerging markets for example – there is an increasing commercial interest to include a turnkey financial solution to the proposal.
The reason is that it is often much cheaper to finance via Western capital markets than locally in the emerging market. The ability to propose a financing solution is then very supportive to the chances of winning the business.
Aon Credit Solutions will provide an overview how the different markets can support corporates and what solutions are available. This will be followed by a presentation by Van Oord, who will present the way they use the different markets and solutions available and how that supports their business.
